Lefties welcome Joey Galeno and Michael Ciancio

For Immediate release-January 24th, 2017-Port Angeles, WA- The Port Angeles Lefties sign all-star infielders Joey Galeno and Michael Ciancio for first and third base, respectively. Check out their snapshots below and start following their progress in spring baseball.

Joey Galeno

Galeno joins the Lefties from Auburn, WA, where he graduated from Auburn Riverside High School in 2014. A two-sport standout, this 5’11”, 215 lb first basebman earned all-league honors and three letters each in baseball and football, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He was named to the senior all-star game in 2014 and the previous year, dominated Puget Sound pitching. Last summer, he showed himself to be a great guy and solid stick for the Kistap Bluejackets. Galeno bats and throws left, and currently for Coach Brian Billings at Pacific University, where he majors in Bio-engineering. Follow him on Twitter @jgaleno1 and Instagram: @jgaleno

Michael Ciancio

Ciancio comes on board from Seattle University, where he plays first and third base for Coach Donny Harrel in the Western Athletic Conferenc. This 6’0″, 200 lb right-hander was a three-year letter-winner in baseball at Kentwood High School, helping the Conquerors post a 22-5 record in 2015. He received First Team All-League, All-Area and All-state honors, capping the season with a 3 for 3 performance with a walk, three runs scored and two RBIs in a state tournament game against Union High School.
