Lefties fall despite strong performances from Giesegh and Nunez

The Lefties started their road trip to Canada by falling to the Victoria HarbourCats 11-3..
From the very first inning, the Lefties were not themselves as Jackson Price took the mound giving up five in the first frame. Two of the runs were unearned as the Port Angeles defense committed an error in the frame.
The team would then pull it together posting multiple shutout innings behind Price, who totaled four innings. The night also saw the pitching debuts of Parker Cadacio (Embry-Riddle) and Brett Haggerty (Yakima Valley College).
Although the staff didn’t post its A-game, the stars Jeremy Giesegh (Cal State San Bernardino) and Roberto Garza-Nunez (Embry-Riddle) — known around the park as Tito — led the team and led by example on how to fight and play in a game where things aren’t falling your way. Giesegh had another multi-hit night, raising his average on the season to an astronomical .385. Tito went three-for-five with an RBI and, as always, put on a defensive clinic showing.
The Lefties come back tomorrow, playing behind Jack Joyce in Victoria and look to even up the series.
